What Time Does Breckenridge Open?
In the winter, Breckenridge Ski Resort is open from 8:30 a.m. to midnight. To 4:00 p.m. The Gondola starts running at 8 a.m. and up until noon.

Five hills, over 2,900 acres, 187 trails, four terrain parks, and North America’s tallest chairlift, the Freedom SuperChair, which opened this summer, make this a beautiful place to ski. Opening Day: November 10th, 2023. Known For: Breckenridge’s Imperial Express SuperChair on Peak 8 is the highest chairlift in North America at 12,840 feet.
On the first day of skiing and riding, people will be able to use about 54 acres of slopes on Peak 8. The Colorado SuperChair and 5-Chair can be used to get to Peak 8. In the Rip’s Ride learning zone, you will also be able to use carpets and learning landscapes. On Friday, November 11, the new high-speed quad chairlift Rip’s Ride will open for the season.
The free BreckConnect Gondola will start regular service on Wednesday at 8 a.m., taking people to the base of Peak 8. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you can park for free in the North and South Gondola lots. On Fridays, you have to pay.
The ski area at Breckenridge will be open every day at 8:30 a.m. From Wednesday to 4 p.m., they plan to keep going until May if the weather allows them.
After Keystone’s grand opening last month, skiers and riders can now use the Epic Pass to visit two hills in Summit County. December 16, 1961 – Peak 8 ski area opened and Sigurd and Trygve owned and ran the Peak 8 Ski School for the first ten years.
The Peak 8 Ski School was owned and run by Trygve and Sigurd for the first ten years, and Peak 8 Ski Area’s first season started on December 16, 1961. It had a short T-bar for beginners, an unloading stand in the middle and a Heron double chair. A ticket for an adult costs $4, but a ticket for a child costs only $2.50. For an extra $10, skiers could add a personal teacher, who was usually an Olympian. It was a good experience at a fair price.
