Charlotte St Patrick’s Day 2023: Charlotte, State of North Carolina. —The City of Charlotte expects a record-breaking number of people to come to Uptown’s many sports events and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on March 11, 2023.
The St. Patrick’s Day parade and fair will continue as usual, and there are also other planned pub crawls in the city.
The procession starts at 11 a.m., and officials say that 10,000 people will march and 50,000 people will watch. The parade route will go across N. Start at 9th Street and go east on Tryon Street. Then, turn right onto 3rd Street and end at S. University Street. To make sure the event goes smoothly, there will be limits on the roads from 8 a.m. on until 3 p.m.
In addition to the St. Patrick’s Day events, Uptown will be the site of many other sports events. Charlotte FC and Atlanta United will play at Bank of America Stadium at noon. Soon, the Utah Jazz and the Charlotte Hornets will play at the Spectrum Center. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
To prepare for more traffic, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has revealed temporary changes. From the beginning until 1 p.m., the CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar will run every 30 minutes. After that, it will go back to its normal 20-minute plan. Also, the LYNX Blue Line will have a 15-minute gap starting at 10 a.m. until six o’clock.
Charlotte Patrick’s Day Parade
The Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Committee plans the fair and associated events, which will happen again in 2024. The committee, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in North Carolina, wants to keep this beloved practice going for many years to come.

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Charlotte Goes Green and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade have been the city’s most well-known yearly events for more than 20 years. There are thousands of marchers and onlookers, and the sounds of cheers and pipes change Uptown.
The procession has bright floats, pipe bands, dancing groups, schools, neighborhood clubs, cheerleaders, and police and fire unions. Between 50,000 and 80,000 people go every year. The Charlotte Parade started in 1996 with just a few people and one bagpiper leading them. It’s grown since then and now has 135 members.
The parade for St. Patrick’s Day starts at 11 a.m. and ends at N. Take 3rd St. south from Tryon St. and 9th St., then turn left and continue on 3rd St. until you reach Caldwell St.
After the parade, the much-anticipated Charlotte Goes Green Festival will take place at S. On Tryon Street, which runs from Third Street to Stonewall Street, this bright party takes place. It begins at 10 a.m. and to 6 p.m. There is live Irish music, dance, pipe and drum bands, and other fun things to do.

For the fourth year in a row, there will not be a St. Patrick’s Day parade in Atlantic City because of ongoing worries about the stability of the famous boardwalk.
The first two were called off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the last one was called off because of the state of the pier. The parade planners turned down the city’s alternative route because it would have cost more and needed to be easier to set up.
A city spokesman, Andrew Kramer, says that the Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Committee has not yet applied to hold a March parade. He continued, “We would be open to holding a St. Patrick’s Day parade next year or again down the line if interest is expressed.”
The country’s oldest pier, which was built in 1870, has been falling apart, making it hard for the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Atlantic City, which has been going on since 1986.
